February 12 - 15 weeks almost

Finally, I am caught up...hallelujah!!
This week...we have had a sad week...our next door neighbors, The Summers, have moved away. The people that we have spent every.single.day with for FIVE YEARS are gone. That is 2 friends in 6 months. (the Turners moved in June) It is hard to believe! We go from spending every moment together and sharing all life's milestones to be thousands of miles apart. It is a sad thing. They rolled out of the driveway yesterday afternoon around 1:30pm. We don't know when we will see them again, but hopefully our 3 families can get together somewhere this summer. Beth took some pics of the children this past week...check them out here.
Our children are doing pretty good this week. Everyone seems to be on the mend. We have the usual issues of cold, cough, etc, but nothing severe. :)
I included some pics from Sunday after church. The kids were wanting to "say cheese" as Kaitlyn says. haha

Feb 6 - 14 weeks

So, I broke out the play mat for Colin. You can see how much he is enjoying it...yea right. He LOVES it until Kaitlyn comes along...which she does every time she sees it out. She just jumps right in and practically sits/lays on Colin. She thinks that is HYSTERICAL!!! Poor Colin just screams until I pull him out and "save" him.
We had a rough week this week. Mike went on his first trip overnight since Colin was born. He was supposed to be gone for 3 nights...yea, well...that only lasted one night. I had to call him back as I was running a 101.5 temp and could barely get through the night routine. Mike changed his plans and got home Tuesday mid-morning to help so that I could get to the doctor...where I spent 3 HOURS!! Found out I had mycoplasma (walking pnuemonia) and strep. thank goodness Mike came home and that the kids go to school ALL DAY on Wednesdays. I was better by Thursday, but Colin was not. He started acting funny on Tuesday and I thought it was because he was hungry. So, I started supplementing with some formula, but he was still waking up every hour at night. (he's been sleeping from 8-6:30am since he was about 11 weeks) So, this was really weird. On Tuesday I gave him formula all day to be sure that he wasn't hungry, but he still woke up all night. By Thursday I knew it was time to go back to the doctor. We spent another 2 hours at the doctor and found out that he had an ear infection. Now it makes sense. I have a feeling that this may be my problem child with ears like mine. This is the 2nd ear infection in 14 short weeks...ugh!

feeling better...

Ryan's Pirate Party

January 21, 2011
Arrr Matey, welcome to Ryan's "Jake and the Neverland Pirate" Party.
We rented a space, set up some bounce houses, had a few pirate games like walk the plank, swab the deck, and digging for treasure, ate some cupcakes and had an all-around blast!
Ryan was so excited this year for his pirate party. He was up at the "crack of dawn" he says and ready to go. We had about 18 children attend. I think that everyone had fun. I think the biggest hit was at the end when everyone dressed up in the pirate gear to take home. My children are still having a blast with the left overs.

January 10 - 10 weeks - hi tech life

Seriously, this is what our lives are like now?? I come downstairs and the children are BOTH playing with our ipad and itouch. They are both so adept at manuevering these devices. They can find things that even I can't find. Crazy!!

Just a little picture of all 3.

The Turners visit...

Our neighbors, Ryan and Ginger, moved to Oklahoma this past summer and haven't been back to Alabama since. Well, Christmas rolled around and they came home for a visit. It was SO GREAT to see them and see how Bricen and Brantley had grown and changed. These 3 little boys fell right back into line with each other. They were so cute and messing around like old times. Ginger & Ryan, we miss you guys so much!! We will all have to get together this summer once y'all make it back into the South.
