7 months

Here are my pics from this week... I am 7 MONTHS OLD!!!! WOW!!!!

Mike kept Ryan on Saturday while I did some volunteering for Jr. League. It went well and Mike got some great pics... (for all you Clemson fans, don't worry, he will be sporting his Orange & White onesie on Saturday!!)

Look at my new teeth

Ryan cracks me up while playing...he scoots around in circles and crawls like an inch worm. It is pretty funny. His favorite thing to do right now is to chew/slobber/eat all of his books. He never wants to sit still to actually read one...but let him chew on it and he is happy forever!

bath time

we missed you at bath time Daddy!! Come back home quickly!!!

Enjoying some bubbles trying to get some "cold menthol vapor" into Ryan. With these teeth Ryan has developed the sniffles. I don't think it is a full fledge cold, but it sure is getting the best of Ryan today. Poor thing was stuffy ALL day!

Hopefully this Johnson & Johnson Menthol bath for colds will help him out tonight. At least he dropped off to sleep quickly....let's hope he stays that way with all the stuffiness!

A picture of the infamous teeth....

I finally got one. I will try for more soon...

The ZOO - Off we went to the zoo on Saturday. It was going to be an afternoon of fun with the animals...well, with an almost 7 month old you never know how long the afternoon will last....

Here is a pic of Ryan after we had been there for a whopping 45 minutes!!! Good thing we bought an annual pass. Now we can go for 45 minutes whenever we want! (we also get in free to Riverbanks with this -- yea!)

Lastly, a picture from this morning. I just LOVED Ryan's outfit...but you can't see all of it. I will have to have a "mini-photoshoot" with him this week. :)

Teething and all that comes with it....

Ryan officially has 2 teeth, but we are still going through the rigors that accompany this huge feat! He isn't sleeping but about 1.5 hours during the day and it is a little touch and go at night. Add to the fact that he woke up with a cold yesterday morning...I hear that is pretty common.

Here is a picture of him from yesterday -- we went walking -- he just chills on our walks.

The other is from this morning -- what a cutie!!

Random

So, I have been slack this past week or so because I was just introduced to Facebook...wow...what an addiction that proves to be. So, I am just getting around to all of the pics from last week and the week before. I will try to do better now. :)

We were hanging out on Saturday and checking out the back yard because the weather here has been beautiful the last few days. Anyway, Mike is looking for spider webs...this is a full-time job as our yard seems to be infested by black widows. We found tons last summer and had pest people start coming out specifically to get rid of them. They come all the time and just came 2 weeks ago and last week we found 7 more...yes, SEVEN!!! 6 females and 1 male. The last one we found was in the gutter at the back corner of our house. We had to even bring over the neighbors to see. This isn't a great shot b/c I didn't have my zoom lens on, but this female had obviously been there awhile because she was HUGE!!!!

This is a pic of us...how we look everyday to go walk Riley. I don't think I will be able to keep this up much longer because Ryan is now 21lbs and 28" -- the 95% on everything. LARGE BOY!!

28 weeks -- 6.5 months

Ryan has had so many first this week!!

He started attempting to crawl on Tuesday, August 5. He gets up on all 4's and rocks back and forth, then he pulls both knees up to his chest and can't quite get the hands to move up so he falls down...but then when he repeats he is a whole body length ahead of where he started. It is really cute...though I am really not sure I am ready to have him mobile yet. I kind of like being able to let him sit on the floor behind me while I work and not have to worry that he is going to be into another room before I turn around.

He is SO BUSY! Ryan has really gotten into some of his toys and has a blast playing with them. He loves to watch Mike throw (and catch ) a ball against his bedroom door. He just laughs and laughs. It is hilarious.

On Friday, August 8, Mike and I were hanging out with Ryan in our room and Ryan took my finger to his mouth - he hasn't done this in a while - and he starts chewing....whoa, what is that?? Teeth!!! Ryan all of a sudden is breaking both of his bottom teeth! We were shocked! I haven't been able to get a picture of them yet, but I am going to keep trying. He is doing really well considering...he is sleeping ok, and only seems to be a little fussy. So, for now, we are looking good with teeth!

Oh, we are also working on Da-Da...he has Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba down really well, but just can't seem to switch the consonants. Hopefully soon. :)

Gotta love Riley

I know this is mostly about Ryan, but you can't forget our first baby -- Riley. He has gotten so brave lately...trying to be in the middle of things always. Here he is on the raft in the middle of the lake - CRAZY! He never would have attempted this pre-Ryan.
Mike and I went out sans Ryan while we were at home. We took a picture to document the occassion!! HaHaHa

Visiting Friends

Mike finally got back from California and we went to visit Kelley and Rob Carruthers. They had a little baby boy on June 25, Holden Grant Carruthers.

He is 5 weeks old in these pics and Ryan looks like a 3 yr. old next to him! Hard to believe that just 5 short months ago Ryan was that EXACT same size...what a diffence 22 weeks makes!

The Beach

So, I know that I am REALLY far behind in Pics. This is from week 27 while I was at home and went to the beach. Ryan LOVED it...he couldn't get enough of the texture of sand. (he loves every texture and wants to run his fingers over EVERYTHING)

We were at the beach from Wednesday afternoon until 8am Friday morning. Ryan got to go on the beach, swim in the pool, go on golf cart rides and spend LOTS of time with his Aunt Diane (I guess that is Great-Aunt Diane -- won't she love that!) and his cousins. He had a blast!!! Wish I had that kind of help all the time! :)
