Shy and my new toy

Mike says that this is a perfect example of why Ryan should be embarrassed. He was not fond of the outfit that I dressed Ryan in. I thought it was cute. I mean, the blue socks are a little out there, but overall it isn't that bad!

Ryan's new toy....a burp cloth. Sometimes this is the only way I can get him to quit fussing while I am fixing supper. So, it has become a favorite. I gave him a blanket that Caroline Hoppe gave us today. Maybe I can redirect the fondness toward the soft, cuddly animal head blanket. We shall see how it goes.

Mr. Blue Eyes

14 weeks and Ryan still has his blue eyes. I just love them...they are so pretty!! And for my wonderful brown-eyed husband...yes, I love Brown eyes too. :)

April 27 - 14 weeks...almost

Since we didn't get a good picture, or any picture for that matter, on Easter Sunday I decided to take a picture this morning before church.

Ryan is doing well. Just growing and growing. He is sleeping through the night again - 8pm to 6ish am, but we are now struggling with his naps. They were so consistent and long. Now, they are short and come at closer intervals. One day we will get all of this straight and make this "scheduling-loving" mommy a very happy mommy indeed. :)

Montana State

Ryan's Aunt Amy is forever trying to get family to move out to the great outdoors of Montana.

Here is her latest tactic! :)

Rolls, lots and lots of rolls

Checking out my rolls....

So sad to see them all!!!

Early morning fun

I just couldn't resist this morning. Ryan looked so cute in his robe...

12 weeks and the new AWFUL schedule

Here are just some pics from Ryan over the past week. We were in Columbia last Wednesday-Monday while Mike and his Dad spent some time with Amy in Montana. I posted a couple of pics from that trip.
Ryan is doing great - well, I should say he was doing great. Sleeping from 8-6 consistently and sleeping during the day also for 4-6 hours. My life was turning around....until I decided to travel. I dropped Mike off in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon and drove the rest of the 3 hour trip by myself. It was a race against the clock to get to Columbia without having Ryan wake up for a feeding. We made it, but barely. Ryan did pretty good in Columbia with getting back on his schedule. It took him a day or so, like usual, but he was back and going strong by Friday night. Well, I can't say that has been the same for the return trip. I picked Mike back up in Atlanta on Monday afternoon. Ryan did really well in the car - he usually does, and we got home fine. Well, now he hasn't slept AT ALL during the day since we got back and he is waking up 1-2 times during the night. What happened to my sweet sleeping baby??? AAAHHH!!
Hopefully this too shall pass. That is all I can think. I called the doctor today because I think his acid reflux is the culprit behind this new AWFUL schedule. I upped his dosage and he is down as I speak for the first time. I am crossing my fingers (and toes) that he will stay that way for a good amount of the afternoon.

Opening Day at Home

So, we have enough Red Sox gear to outfit Ryan for the first 12 months. I guess now we will work on the next 12! :)
Mike is so excited to have Ryan dressed as a Red Sox fan. He can't wait to teach him all about the game and the ultimate love for his team...and the unlove for the Yankees! Thank you to Gloria and Tom for the outfit that you gave - (he has already worn it... I will post it next time.) and thank you to Lazenby and Rachel for the whole outfit -- he will soon be big enough to fit into it. :)

Ryan is now 11 weeks old and really getting to be a lot of fun. He smiles ALL the time, loves to play with different things - his bouncy seat mobile, the play gym, rattles, your fingers. He started sleeping from 8pm-6am on April 6 -- YEA!!! So, life is getting easier everyday with our little one. Stay tuned for more Red Sox updates. Mike says that we have to have Ryan dressed in home and away uniforms to match the schedule. Oh Boy....talk about some serious Red Sox fans!!

New Here...sort of

This shirt is SO CUTE!

We got it as a gift from Mike's aunt and uncle in Massachusetts, Nancy and Michael.

Thank you so much!! We love it.

Also, we have a new trick to show you -- DROOL. I don't know what it is, but Ryan is drooling all the time. At least he doesn't seem to mind it!

10 weeks and counting

Ryan is now 10 weeks old! He is really getting active and has the cutest personality.

He loves to sit now and watch the lights with music on his bouncy seat. Thank goodness he has started to enjoy this because it gives me about a 20 minute breather! :)

Also, he went from 9:30pm last night to 6:15 this morning sleeping!! yea!!!

I am seriously hoping this trend continues!

Other than that, we are doing well.

I forgot to add on Ryan's 9 week post -- he weighs 14 lbs and is 24.5 inches. That means he has almost doubled his birthweight and grown 4 inches in 9 short weeks. We definitely have a husky boy on our hands!
