Ryan's birthday!!
So, before I continue with Christmas...which will take me a while, I figured I would upload Ryan's birthday party!! It was so fun and I think that Ryan had a really good time. It was a bit chaotic, but sometimes I like it that way.
Ryan's 2nd birthday was yesterday and I took brownies to school - at the request of his teachers not to have something with icing...
Ryan loved it and asked for "Mou" all day. I was able to work from home yesterday afternoon and pick him up for Mother's Day Out myself. That was fun to see him before naptime. We took him to NY Pizza in Homewood last night. I have to say...he had a good time, but taking a 2 year old out to eat is not necessarily the least stressful thing you can choose to do. He was definitely a handful. With all of that going on, we didn't even have a chance to open gifts from us...and still haven't, actually. Maybe after nap we will get to it. His big gift from us is a power truck/jeep, but it is on backorder so we won't be able to get until the 2nd week in February. Terrible parents, I know. Next year when he really knows the difference, we will do better!!
On to today at 10:30am. Ryan was rambunctious all morning and really getting into stuff before everyone got here, but he seemed to calm down as the house got fuller and fuller.
We had 12 children here and all of their parents. We were a full house and had SO MUCH FUN!!
The kids seemed to enjoy playing with everything and the parents had fun enjoying the little bit of conversation that could be had above the racket and refereeing that 12 children require. Here are some pics. Oh, the one where Ryan is burying his head - those are because we are singing to him. HAHAHA...Mr. Shy all of a sudden!
Baby #2
IT'S A GIRL!!!
Baby #2 is doing great! She looked perfect on the ultrasound and measured correctly throughout the whole appointment. My due date is still June 7, 2010!!
Look what Santa brought a few days early
So, we head to Columbia for Christmas. Santa was not able to visit us in Columbia this year, so he made an early stop to deliver some Christmas cheer to Ryan...in the form of a magna doodle, an activity cube, and a Kitchen!! He loves it. He played all day on his kitchen and has played a ton since. He was so cute with his gifts. He would open each one, examine what was inside, play a bit, and then MOVE ON to the next.

Snow...in December?
Crazy, I know...but we had snow on December 5. To say that we were not prepared for this sort of thing would be the largest understatement ever...
Picture this...your child ready to go outside in the snow and what does he have on but 2 pair of socks and a pair of CROCS. Yes, crocs. We had yet to buy him "closed-toe" shoes. (needless to say, we did that immediately the next day) In addition to his crocs, he had on a long-sleeve t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and a hoodie. Yes, that is all that we had to bundle up our little one in is a hoodie. I mean, really, when does it ever get that cold in December? Obviously in 2009!! Ryan seemed warm enough and loved the snow...that is right until he noticed that it actually can get ONTO his crocs. (not into, but onto -- gotta love my OCD child)
