seriously, I could not love a little girl more...

she is a light and a personality like I have not seen before. 

Kaitlyn speaks and has an opinion about everything. she LOVES Ryan and wants to do everything that he does. she loves jumping on the "jumpy". She is getting into Dora and likes "EEmo", but hasn't really gotten into her baby dolls. She has just really gotten into purses. She loves carrying them around and pulling out the brushes, mirrors, fake lipstick, keys, cell phone, and money that come in them. She now has 3 and rotates them around throughout the day. She goes to school MWF like Ryan and has Ms. Leigh and Ms. Andrea. She loves them!! She really enjoys her preschool and never gets upset to go. she is totally dependent on "Wuvvy and Paci" for her comfort. She reaches for them throughout the day...it is really sweet. Let's just hope Lovey never gets lost again. We are up the creek if that happens. 

All in all, Kaitlyn is a sweet little girl who gets upset if we (well, more like Mike) raises a voice to her. She will mimic things we say and loves to learn something new. She is strong willed like her older brother, but not as prone to carrying things "too far" like he does. She already has the tell tale sign of being mischievous as she does things deliberately to Ryan that she KNOWS will bug him. Kind of funny some days. hahaha

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

Our children didn't go to 1 single Easter Egg hunt. Crazy, huh?

So, we decided to have one the day before Easter in our yard. They were SO CUTE running around and finding all the eggs. Ryan tried to get as many as possible. Kaitlyn was more methodic. She got one, opened it, ate the candy, licked her fingers, and looked for the next snack of eggs. :)

So, funny to see how differently they hunted for eggs!

After looking for eggs we cane in and divvied up candy. They were allowed to have 1 piece and then it was nap time. Kaitlyn and Colin had a little one-on-one time.  She sometimes thinks that SHE is the Mommy.

6 months and still no bed

Poor Colin...you would think that after 6 months the poor baby would have a room, but seeing as how we still haven't sold our house...he doesn't. 

so, here he is asleep on Ryan's bed for his morning nap while the older 2 are at school and Mike is home early on a Friday and working in "Colin's Room/Office".

Baby, I promise, as soon as we get a new house you will get a room...promise!!

Just a little match up of my sweet, darling boys.

May 1 - Colin is 6 months old!!!

I feel so bad because now my baby is 7 1/2 months old and I still haven't posted about the big half-birthday!! I got the kids up and out the door to the front lawn early on May 1. I wanted to take some pictures of Colin just like I did for Ryan in the same outfit in some of the same locations. (Here are Kaitlyn's.) I wanted some early morning sun, so I got them out there early. Well, the big kids were not happy about Colin getting all the face time. So, we went inside to get everyone dressed and the last picture is what was chosen. I ADORE my little stair steps. I never knew that I wanted THREE, but I wouldn't change/trade these 3 amazing children for anything in the world!!! 

(of course, don't catch me on a bad day...I may be willing to sell them to the highest bidder!!)

Colin 6 month stats:

20 lbs 8 oz

27 3/4 inches

18 inches for head circumference

colin can sit on his own and eats baby food 3 times a day (1 jar each time). He still takes a bottle 4 times a day and started holding it himself (on occasion) at about 6.5 months. He loves his walker and can scoot around pretty well with it. He still doesn't have teeth. I can't say I'm really surprised. Ryan nor Kaitlyn had any until after 7 months. He gets really excited when you pay individual attention to him. I mean, really excited. It is the cutest thing to watch. He knows when his daddy is talking to him on the phone. He gets the biggest grin and just looks at the phone intently like Mike will jump out or something. He is still very much a mama's boy. He cries if I leave the room and he watches me all the time. He is SUPER entertained by Ryan and Kaitlyn. Though, honestly, how could you not be. Those two are ALWAYS getting into some sort of mischief!

Overall, Colin is the sweetest baby. He sleeps 11 hours, gets up at 6:30 or 7 for a bottle. Takes a 2 hour nap in the morning and another 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. He goes back to bed between 7:30 and 8:15 depending on how quickly I get R and K in bed and give him his final 4th bottle. He is patient, sweet, thoughtful, and seems to have a very social little personality. I think he will fit in just fine with his older brother and sister. I can't wait to see what this time next year will bring us. (I think I better be armed with some amazing parenting ideas b/c I think these 3 are going to give me a run for my money!!!)
